Chocolate Without Guilt

And they called it truffle love. . .

Last week I started my very own national celebration. Actually, I think I’ll call it my very own international celebration since I have some readers outside the United States. I named that celebration: Chocolate Without Guilt Week. First, let me be very clear that I never feel guilty when I eat chocolate. Chocolate, for me, is: dancing with delicious. Sure, I can tell you all about the health benefits of chocolate but that’s not why I eat it. And I can also tell you that some of the chocolates I’ve eaten in the past two weeks were not exactly “healthy.” That’s okay. There are times when pleasure supersedes nutrition.

With that said, I did come across a goldmine of healthy chocolate recipes last week. Check out the raw chocolate recipe round-up, yum! I also found a wonderful recipe for homemade nutella (chocolate hazlenut spread).

And what’s my favorite healthy chocolate recipe? I like to play with George Mateljan’s 10-minute truffle recipe. There’s always a stash of those in my refrigerator or freezer. Last week I added a drop of orange oil and a pinch of chili powder. To live for! What’s your favorite healthy chocolate recipe?

What a great idea Chocolate Without Guilt Week. Why don’t we make it Chocolate Without Guilt For Life. Pam my partner and I have been enjoying the taste, benifits, sesations of raw chocolate for many years now and we also have chocolate treats and snacks in our fridge all the time. We recently wrote an eBook on natural, organic (raw)chocolate and all the recipes came out great. We created all of them but a couple stand out from the rest. We use a basic chocolate recipe as below for most of these recipes. This one is as simple as you can get but boy do the kids love it

    Chocolate Recipe
    Ingredients
    ½ cup coconut oil
    ½ cup cacao powder
    ¼ cup agave
    Method
Place all ingredients into a container and shake

If you get half a banana and stick a toothpick or icecream stick into it. Place them into the freezer overnight and then you dip the frozen banana into the chocolate sauce. It sets hard and the kids love hem and can have as many as they want.

Looks like you have a lot of fun in the kitchen playing with chocolate and creating “chocolate without guilt” recipes with your children. I’m happy to promote your ebook on my fan page if you’d like to send me a copy to review. Thanks for posting. . .
