This flourless chocolate cake will surprise you—no flour, no dairy, no nuts, no sugar. I opted for the honey instead of the stevia. Never cared for the taste of stevia. This is the perfect dessert if you have food allergies or food sensitivities and you still want to indulge in in a scrumptious piece of cake. You CAN have your cake and eat it, too.
Wonderful blog Sue! Covering anything and everything chocolate is a hit in my books but this is fresh looking and contains some very interesting posts. Not sure about ‘beans’ in my chocolate cake but it does sound scrumptious. I may have to break down and try it once just to see if it truly is as decadent as it looks!
Great job!
Thank you, Marlene. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the cake. And you can eat it for breakfast—plenty of protein! 😉
Sue Ann- this is one of the best recipes I have tried. It was totally YUM. Great texture, really moist. I didn’t detect even a hint of beani-ness about it (and we ate it WARM from the oven instead of waiting until the next day for best taste as the recipe suggests!)
I used coconut oil instead of butter and I used just raw honey to sweeten it (I skipped the stevia too and didn’t miss it at all). Kids liked it too!
We served with some strawberries. I could imagine whipped cream or melted dark chocolate would also be a yummy addition.
So grateful for this really satisfying and healthful version of chocolate cake that doesn’t feel like any pleasure has been sacrificed AT ALL!
Thank you for the feedback, Juli. I love that you used coconut oil instead of butter. You’ll have to try the polenta pudding cake as well. It’s to “live for”! Keep dancing with delicious. . .
